On
February 2, our dear friend and Master
Pastelist Salvador Olmedo suddenly
passed away. Salvador was a pioneer of
Pastel in Spain and his books were a
reference for many years for all those
who approached the pastel technique
for the first time.

Our friend and great master Germán Aracil left us on November 5, after months of fighting the disease. This is our heartfelt and loving tribute. They are works by Germán that were awarded in some of our Biennial exhibitions. Along with a reminder of his presence in China on behalf of ASPAS on the occasion of the "Hello Spain" exhibition. This is the first group exhibition on the students of Heather Harman - pastel specialist, and is to be held at the new art gallery in Alcaucin. It will feature the work of 12 artists and also some selected pieces of Heather's. There is a variety of styles and sizes on landscape, seascape, still life and town scenes. Heather will be showing some landscape and portrait work that featured in the French D'Opale International exhibition in March this year. The exhibition opens to private guests on Friday 12th December and is open to the public from Monday 15th December - 2 January. |
